Farah Downing

Farah Downing lives in St Ives Cornwall with her family. She is a teacher at the local infant school. Farah loves being silly, swimming, beach days and muddy walks. Her favourite things are chocolate and new pencils.
Her first story Paradise Park After Dark has been a huge hit, selling out in its first print run on local sales alone and was also a featured read on 'Books on the Underground'.
Farah also wrote Tyrannosaurus Tate. She ran an in-schools Literacy and Art community project using her story as the text to accompany the illustrations created by all the y5s in local schools. Over 100 children were involved in the project. The story launch in early July saw over 200 people, many of whom were the illustrators themselves packed into the local library.
The writer leads workshops and readings in local schools using her stories as creative springboards for the children she works with.
